Dr. Anastasia Malygina is Associate Professor and Director of the Cross-Disciplinary Centre for Global Biosecurity Studies at Saint Petersburg State University. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the same institution and teaches within the university's Strategic and Arms Control Studies Master's Programme, focusing on multilateral arms control, military innovation, strategic stability, WMD non-proliferation, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and synthetic biology.

Her research and policy engagement span global biosecurity governance, strategic stability, and non-proliferation. Since 2017, she has convened expert dialogues on strengthening the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention and has contributed to international deliberations on biological security, including participation in the BWC Working Group process in Geneva. She is also a regular contributor to international biosecurity conferences and policy discussions.

Dr. Malygina's work bridges arms control, emerging technologies, and biosecurity governance, bringing an interdisciplinary perspective to contemporary security challenges. Her association with the Global Peace Strategy Forum strengthens the Forum's engagement with strategic stability, global governance, non-proliferation, and international biosecurity policy.
