Mr. Syed Farooq Hasan is a globally recognised public figure and one of Pakistan's most respected television anchors, with an association of over 35 years with Pakistan Television (PTV). Placed by PTV in the "Outstanding Category" of anchors, he was conferred the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in 2023 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to media and society.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Hasan has conducted numerous telethons in Pakistan and abroad, highlighting social causes and supporting underprivileged communities. He has served as the main anchor for major National Day ceremonies, including 23 March, 14 August, and 25 December events at the Presidency and the Prime Minister's House. Since beginning his media journey in 1991, he has hosted high-level international seminars and conferences on diverse themes, ranging from CPEC to global banking forums.

An accomplished academic, Farooq Hasan is an IBA graduate with bi-majors in Banking Specialization and Marketing. He earned distinctions in multiple subjects and was a topper in Retail Banking. He also served as visiting faculty at IBA, teaching Credit and Marketing to MBA final-semester students. He has delivered lectures at leading institutions including Pakistan Navy War College, Bahria University, NUST, and the Police Training Academy, and is an alumnus of the National Defence University and Pakistan Naval War College.

Alongside his media achievements, Farooq Hasan brings more than 30 years of professional banking experience, having served in senior positions in leading banks in Pakistan and abroad. His association with the GPS Forum as a Senior Fellow adds value to the Forum's outreach, strategic communication, and public engagement.
